Do I need to be in South Africa to apply?

Accepted Answer

No. Marketing and Consulting services can be sold to customers anywhere in the world, so we welcome international resellers. Connect services (IT, VoIP, hardware, infrastructure) require on-the-ground delivery and can only be resold to South African customers.

Question 2

Is this exclusive — can I sell other things?

Accepted Answer

The agreement is non-exclusive. You can sell other products and services, with one exception: you cannot sell products or services that are substantially similar to SalesCollab's offering without prior written consent.

Question 3

When and how do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

Commission is calculated monthly in arrears and paid within 14 days of month-end by electronic funds transfer. We pay on collected funds — once SalesCollab has received cleared funds from the customer.

How long does training take?

We onboard you through the Sales Interview Hub. Most partners complete the core onboarding in 1–2 weeks, working at their own pace alongside their existing commitments.

Question 5

What about tax and POPIA?

Accepted Answer

You're an independent channel partner, so you handle your own tax obligations in your jurisdiction. We process personal information in line with South Africa's POPIA framework.

Question 6

Can I cancel? Is there a tie-in?

Accepted Answer

Initial term is 30 days, then it auto-renews monthly. You can cancel with 30 days' written notice after the initial term. SalesCollab can do the same.

Question 7

How are leads registered, attributed and protected?

Accepted Answer

A referral qualifies when it is submitted through the SalesCollab partner process or CRM and accepted by SalesCollab as a new lead attributable to you. Once accepted, the customer account stays attributed to you for its lifetime. The standard agreement does not set a separate fixed protection period in days or months — attribution is based on the accepted registration recorded in our partner system. We recommend registering a lead and receiving confirmation before sharing confidential details.

What kind of support will I get?

Marketing collateral, product training via the Sales Interview Hub, CRM access, and a dedicated channel for deal support. You bring the lead; we handle the technical conversations and proposals.

Question 9

What commission do I earn, and on what?

Accepted Answer

Services: Referral lane 20%, Sales lane 35%, Agency lane 50% of gross margin. Software: 20–30% of subscription value, confirmed in writing per solution. Gross margin means cleared customer payments received by SalesCollab, excluding VAT, refunds, credits, reversals and direct supplier or delivery costs.

How long is recurring commission paid? What about renewals and upgrades?

For the lifetime of each qualifying customer account, as long as the customer stays active and paying and your agreement remains in force. Renewals and upgrades on an accepted account are assessed under the applicable product's commercial terms.

Question 11

Is there a minimum sales volume or activity requirement?

Accepted Answer

There is no monthly quota. However, the agreement has a six-month activity rule: if you bring no new customer activation for six consecutive months, SalesCollab may move you to inactive status and may end the agreement or future recurring commission. Commission already earned on payments received before then is dealt with under the agreement.

Can SalesCollab go around me to my introduced customer?

Customer contracts are always concluded directly between SalesCollab and the customer, and partners may not contract directly with introduced customers. An accepted lead stays attributed to you for the lifetime of the account. The standard agreement does not contain a separate standalone non-circumvention clause; if you need one, raise it with us before signing.

Question 13

Is there a minimum payout? Can international partners be paid?

The standard agreement sets no minimum payout threshold. Commission is paid by electronic funds transfer within 14 days after month-end on undisputed amounts, against a valid invoice where required. International partners confirm payout currency, banking charges and transfer arrangements in writing during onboarding, before referrals begin.

Can I refer across Consulting, Marketing, Connect and software under one agreement?

Yes. One Channel Partner Agreement and one partner code cover all SalesCollab solutions. Connect services are limited to customers in South Africa unless SalesCollab approves otherwise in writing.

Question 15

Are fixed-term customer contracts available?

Accepted Answer

Customer terms depend on the service. SalesCollab confirms the contract type and term for each recurring service in the proposal to the customer.

Question 16

What documents are needed to verify me as a partner?

Accepted Answer

You must have legal capacity to contract. Depending on whether you join as an individual or a company, we may ask for ID documents (yours or your directors'), company registration documents, VAT or tax details, a bank confirmation letter and proof of address. You remain responsible for your own tax and invoicing in your country.
